Overview

Salesforce is the most advanced CRM on the market. It comes with a long list of innovative features for sales, marketing, and service teams. It also offers business modules, or "clouds," for industries such as healthcare, media, and the public sector. This makes for a complex, enterprise-grade CRM system that can serve businesses of every stripe.
In the financial services business, Redtail Technology is a major provider of web-based CRM, compatible text messaging solutions (Redtail Speak), paperless offices, and email archiving solutions. The company is dedicated to assisting consultants in effectively growing their businesses by providing them with the basic technologies that power their day-to-day operations, delivering low-cost and simple-to-implement apps, and integrating with many of the industry's most extensively used apps.

Ease of use

Once you master its handling, Salesforce opens up in all of its glory. But learning the ropes will take time and training; this is not a small, out-of-the-box CRM solution. Salesforce's commitment to innovation also means the CRM continuously adds more features, so there's always something new to learn. The interface itself is intuitive and well-designed, but some users trip over the mountain of features.
For the most part, the software is quite user-friendly, but there will be a learning curve to get the most out of all the functions. It's not completely obvious, but they offer really decent assistance and a lot of information on their website to assist you with any navigation or feature concerns. There's also Redtail University, which covers the country and provides in-depth support to those willing to pay the $425 per person entrance fee to each event. Of course, this is a major additional expense on top of the software to consider.

Support

Salesforce offers three plans for customer service. The free support is limited to tech support and online resources. For tech support, simply submit an online support ticket. Free online resources are extensive and include demos, Trailblazer Community, and self-help portal, among others. The paid plan is 30% of your net subscription and offers 24/7 support, expert coaching, and developer support. You can also get a customized signature support plan. The price depends on the complexity of your support needs.
Redtail CRM provides excellent customer service. They have an 800-number clearly displayed at the top of their website, as well as a direct support email address. A phone call to that number brought a live person on the line with little wait time, and the person was quite helpful in answering my question. If you're looking for answers online, you may visit the Redtail Helpdesk, which has a variety of information on how to use their program as well as solutions to some common issues.

Who is it for?

Salesforce's mission is to bring companies and their customers together. In theory, every customer-centric business can benefit from the Salesforce platform. However, the size and complexity of this CRM may be overwhelming for smaller organizations. You can do a free trial of the software and see for yourself.
Redtail CRM is one of Redtail Technology's several products. It's a web-based platform geared directly at financial professionals, and it looks to be suitable for small sales operations, whether direct to consumer or B2B. (business to business).
